Back to Work

Hello!! Tanya here again.. We all had a great time at the beach and I had a great 21st Birthday! Time to get back to work though. We had a couple sales on etsy this week which keeps our morale up and gives us motivation to create more mosaics. We also are working hard to create more projects for our upcoming show in Cornelius, NC. It will be at the Palace and is a night bazaar from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. I hope that we can see some success there on our crafts and for our business. We also discussed opening a second location for the tile store next year. I am excited about it! Well anyways onto our new projects. I finally have grout in my projects!! I am now working on mosaic baby blocks. I have one for girls, one for boys and one unisex block. They are coming out great and I love them!! Mom is working on a birdhouse and a couple more flower pots. I am also working on some magnets. I love doing mosaics and hope to make a career out of it someday.

Working Hard

Hello everyone! This is Tanya, the daughter half of our duo. The tile store has been busy lately so my mother has been busy with that while I have been busy creating new mosaic projects. I have 5 projects in progress right now that need final touches. Above are pictures of those projects.

The first project is a colorful peace sign with magenta flower gems. All it needs is grout and it will be ready for sale.
The second project is a butterfly plaque. It only needs grout as well.
The third project is a dog house picture frame. It also needs grout and a picture to be completed. I am thinking of putting in a picture of my last foster dog. I miss her but am very happy she found a good home.
The fourth project is a 4 x 6 frame. I am not happy with the paint color so I am on the search for one that I like. This frame also needs grout.
The fifth project is a blue mosaic box. I feel like the top needed something so I purchased an anchor and a sailboat for the top. I am going to paint both and see which one I like better for the box. This also needs grout. I wanted to have this completed before Father's Day last month but like they say "you can't rush art."

If you are wondering why I am waiting on grout my dad is the master grouter and I do not want to ruin any of the project by attempting to grout myself. All I need is for him to grout and I will have more projects ready for sale.

We are off to the beach for the weekend for my 21st birthday! Yay! I feel very blessed that I have been given 21 years of life! Can't wait for the beach and to see my aunt in uncle who are flying in from NY.
